MEET YOUR TRAINER
I’m Meika, Mum to my two gorgeous boys, Harry and Leo.
I am passionate about health, sport and fitness.
I thrive on helping others find a healthy lifestyle balance, achieve their goals and ultimately feel energised!
I have always been a very sporty person. I am pretty happy found on the downs with my dogs, on a bike, paddleboard or on a netball court!
When I was younger I used to ride horses competitively and as a teenager competed on the English team. Over the last two years I’ve really started to enjoy running with the Energise Ladies Running group that I have started.
My PT Story:
I first qualified as a Gym instructor in 2004. After a couple of years I was promoted to Gym manager whilst also training clients 121 and running group training sessions. In 2005 I took qualifications in Massage, Core Stability and Functional Rehabilitation.
Since having a break from the fitness industry, due to having my children I am now excited to be back at it!
In 2019 I retrained as a Fitness Instructor, Circuits Instructor and a Personal Trainer. Over the last year I have also qualified as a Boxercise, Kick Boxercise and Children’s fitness Instructor.
I am now loving training clients again! I really enjoy seeing their progressions from first making contact with me to them messaging me saying how much happier, healthier and motivated they are feeling.
In the last three years my business has gone from strength to strength building up a fantastic group of ladies that love to train in the fresh outdoors ( whatever the weather). We have competed in many running competitions, two tough mudders, I arranged a group hike to Wales, many socials throughout the year and now I’m organising our first retreat in Devon…..Exciting times ahead!
Meika, you have so much energy and knowledge and are one of the most caring, thoughtful people. You kept everyone motivated, helped us bounce out of bed on a Monday and challenged everyone to stay on their own track. It helped me to keep on track with my goal of more classes, eating less snacks and doing the 5k park run in a faster time. Thank you xxx
I loved it! From the start it really brought home how unfit I am, my attitude to food was all wrong but more than anything…you made me realise it wasn’t about a quick fix, its about permanent lifestyle changes! You really have taught me so much in the short time I have been on board from everything like diet, meal planning through to self love and appreciation that sometimes life gets in the way!
Meika, you truly are an inspirational human being and are amazing at what you do! Your attitude and understanding that life can be hard is a rare thing when it comes to fitness trainers! Thank you for the help and guidance you have given me so far and here’s to more success with Energise in 2023!
Meika, Your motivation, tips, workouts and support have been invaluable. I’ve really enjoyed being part of the group and learnt a lot from the other ladies too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you and this challenge to others. Irrespective of goals, I would have no doubt everyone would be able to take a positive from it, and give people the confidence and knowledge to make healthier choices and lifestyle changes.
There is one Meika and you are the most inspiring, encouraging, kind, committed, humble, giving, funny, knowledgeable, enthusiastic firecracker of a PT anyone could ever wish for. Energise in Six put me firmly back on the right track and the messages on the group helped keep me there so thank you ladies!
